c1870 Small Cabinet Card of Three Timber Frame Carpenters
A small format c1870 Cabinet Card of three timber frame carpenters and their tools. Check out that Beam Drill on the left! The seated man holds a wood jack plane, a marking awl and a framing square. The man on the right holds a shingle hatchet and a hand saw.
The seated man wears a fantastic set of mutton chop sideburns, possibly from his Civil War service? The other's are dressed in clean, pressed shirts, suspenders and trousers. Your typical 19th century men at work.
