So often in groups I see people asking "what are these tools used for?" referring to dog head hammers, pyramidal straight edges and square anvils. Well, here is the answer. All are the tools of the Saw Doctor, the specialists who repaired and tensioned the giant lumber mill circular saw blades By Hand and Eye.

Not the best of images to begin with so I changed it from the original faded yellow to black & white with some despeckling and haze reduction. The fingerprint is original.
