DEAR SIR: Referring to the attached prices would say, since the advance in Broom Corn the market has held steady, and considering the quickness and scope of the rise in prices, trade has been fully equal to expectations so far. Predictions have been made by a few minor parties that brush would seek a lower level in price, but statements of this kind can usually be traced to empty Warehouses whose proprietors would be glad to see a decline in order to get in a few cars of stock. There is no “corner” in Broom Corn or combination of financial interests to effect one. Brush has advanced purely on its own merits; an actual shortage in the supply being the cause.
